April 29, 2023 – A horrific mass shooting in Texas left five people dead, including an 8-year-old, and three children found covered in blood. The suspect, a 35-year-old man, is believed to be hiding in a wooded area approximately 10 to 12 miles from the crime scene. Multiple agencies are currently searching for him, at least as of the time of this writing.
The incident began when the victims approached the suspect, who was allegedly shooting his rifle in the front yard, and asked him to stop, as they had a young baby trying to sleep. The suspect, who had been drinking, responded aggressively, ultimately entering the victim’s home and shooting everyone from the neck up, execution style.
The five deceased victims ranged in age from 8 to approximately 40 years old. Three other juveniles were found covered in blood, but unharmed. They were immediately taken to a hospital for examination. All the victims appear to be part of one family, with four to five of them having moved to the area from Houston just a few days prior to the shooting.
The suspect, who is known by name and date of birth, has a history of firing his rifle in the front yard. His wife is currently being interviewed by authorities. The suspect’s house contained at least two other guns according to the Sheriff.
