Harris County Deputy shoots home invasion suspect who following a local businesswoman’s home .mov

November 18, 2022 – According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, a local businesswoman was followed by two suspects to her home in the 5400 block of Melody Park Ln. in north Houston. A neighbor believes he heard four gunshots as he was leaving for dinner just after 7 p.m.

The woman, police say was exiting her vehicle after parking inside the garage when four suspects began to assault her. Another woman inside the home called 9-1-1.

When Harris Cunty Sheriff’s deputies arrived, they saw two masked men leaving the home. One of these men pointed a weapon at deputies and one of the deputies discharged their weapon at the man and wound him. He was taken to a local hospital and was treated for his injuries.

A second suspect was arrested at the scene, after trying to flee, while the two other suspects fled the scene. Police have not yet released a description.

There were four additional people inside the home according to HCSO. Two of these were assaulted by suspects.

The businesswoman who was followed home had injuries to her hands and may have been pistol-whipped. She is expected to recover.
