October 26, 2022 – A 17-year-old has been charged and arrested after the Houston Police Department says he shot at a police officer outside of a nightclub located at 5908 Gulfton Street around 3:25 a.m. on September 1, 2022.
According to HPD:
“Officers responded to a disturbance call outside a night club at the above address and spoke with a security guard who stated multiple suspects, possibly juveniles, were at the location with a weapon. As officers investigated the incident, the suspects, who were near the scene, discharged a handgun towards the officers’ location prior to fleeing on foot.”
The officer was not hit and bullet casings were found at the scene. HPD ran the casings through the National Integrated Ballistic Information Network (NBIN) which led them to identify 17-year-old Fabrico Antonio Gomez as a suspect.
Gomez confessed to investigators when he was questioned.
